People in London exhibition

In the five years that Richard Slater criss-crossed London for his People in London project, he took thousands of photographs of the capital's endlessly fascinating citizens. He exhibited 400 of his favourite images, along with a selection of video interviews, for six weeks at the Royal Geographical Society. The exhibition featured maps to show where Richard took his photographs and included a soundtrack of typical London sounds to complete the experience.

Find out more about the project by watching the behind-the-scenes video and visiting the People in London website.

‘People in London is a brilliant illustration of why London is the most exciting city in the world and brings this fantastic place to glorious, colourful life.’

Allen & Overy

When leading international law firm Allen & Overy moved into their beautiful new building at One Bishops Square, they commissioned a series of site-specific artworks which reflected their core philosophy to aspire, advance and achieve excellence in everyone and everything.

As part of this portfolio, ten of Richard’s photographs, each enlarged to 9 feet by 6 feet, were chosen to appear in their client meeting rooms.

A book showcases all the specially commissioned art work and a double spread is given over to Richard’s photographs.
